The
festival will be accompanied by panels and workshops in which
Palestinian women filmmakers will participate and\or moderate.
Guest filmmakers and film historians\theoreticians will conduct
these panels and workshops in order to promote discussion and
understanding of women’s cinema and provide practical skills and
know-how. There will be general public talks on women’s cinema
and women filmmakers’ representation strategies as well as
specialized workshops directed towards the filmmaking community
in general and the woman’s filmmaking community in particular.
The
planned lectures and workshops which will accompany the festival
include:

Awards
This is not a
competitive festival, but it will present awards for Outstanding
Achievement. There will be 4 awards given each year:
1.
Palestinian Woman Film Award.
2.
Arab Woman Film Award.
3.
International Woman Film Award.
4.
Audience Favorite Film Award. (We will not offer this prize in
our first
festival).
