What should a writer do in the midst of a ruthless war when the alphabet dries up, when the writing stops? 

Can a photograph write?

And can a camera draw but a fraction of what takes place in this game of light and darkness? 

Can it reflect those ardent cries of longing, to be in Jerusalem, where the family is, where the city of birth lies, surmounting barriers, closures and all these walls?
